Monday July 18th, 2016 Alive in Death Training will formally begin! Congratulations to all of you who have chosen to be involved in this pilot mentor training program that promises to help change the way we approach dying, death, grief and loss.
I will be in touch with each of you personally so we can set up a series of weekly telephone calls, provide you with username and password, walk you through the training pages, and get your training underway.
For those of you who may still be interested in the program please connect with me by email and we will see if there is anyway to include you.
The plan is to have all the learners completed by September 7th, 2016, do a thorough review of how the training went, renovate the website if necessary and then prepare for the formal launch of Alive in Death Training on October 19th, 2016.
The core team is currently preparing all our marketing for the campaign we will be undertaking later in July. We have targeted all the nursing colleges in BC, Divisions of Family Practice, Nursing Associations, Long Term Care Homes, and the Ministry of Health here in British Columbia. Our goal is to have Alive in Death accepted for continuing education credits and to have nursing programs offer it as an elective to their students.
How you can help is to spread the word by sharing your experience with Alive in Death with your colleagues and friends at work.
Have a great time with your studies, apply yourself fully and get the most out of Alive in Death as you can. Please feel free to connect with me.
Warmly and with gratitude,
Stephen
