That Enormously Small Dot of Everything

September 11, 2017 By sgarrett Leave a Comment

I was looking at and pondering the infinity sign the other day and found myself marveling at that single point, that tiny dot, that infinitely small place where the two ‘universes’ meet. I was reminded of moments on enlightenment intensives; split seconds in meditation; awakening times in Peru, Mexico, Egypt, Costa Rica, or Africa; those never ending instants of lightness in sweat lodges; the timeless flashes of brilliance when holding hands with my wife.

Oh those Shakespearian moments!

Those indescribable splashes of everything and nothing all at once.

That most visible yet invisible doorway that opens to everywhere and nowhere simultaneously.

The symphony of all that ever was and ever will be all in one moment unbounded by time.

The wordless dictionary of all there is to say.

That space where nothing and everything co-exist in a glorious bathtub of love.

That place where all opposites meet – the Ultimate Balance Point of I AM.

That spot is where being human and being spirit meet. Knowing this spot intimately but often unconsciously, we yearn for ‘home’ or oneness in whatever way we can attain it. That innate internal drive to satiate that profound longing runs us, our very lives, and all our behaviors good, bad, or indifferent. So deep is this drive we almost always miss it, ignore it, or forget to acknowledge it even exists.

This ever-present microscopically huge dot of light is worthy of our attention; in fact our living a life of passion and authenticity depends on It. It lives in you and in all others… practice noticing It each and every day. When you do the colors of the world get brighter.
